Cian is an undergraduate student at Arizona State University majoring in Molecular Biosciences & Biotechnology and minoring in Mathematics. He has special interest in studying evolution, genetics, and mutation through molecular and bioinformatic methods. His previous research centered on genomic surveillance of RNA viruses, specifically influenzas and canine parvovirus, aiming to determine how new strains are evolving. He hopes to utilize his skill set and grow as a researcher in the Jiang lab while working alongside his peers. Outside of research, Cian enjoys exploring new places, playing games, and spending time with family and friends.
