Ishan is a former high school research assistant working with Pengyao Jiang in Kelley Harris lab at the University of Washington from 2019 to 2022. Ishan works on computationally analyzing broader mutation spectrum variation patterns among several different species beyond Saccharomyces cerevisiae using population genomics data, including wild and domesticated Saccharomyces yeasts and nematodes C.elegans. Ishan and Pengyao have a manuscript under preparation. Ishan is currently an undergraduate student at Yale University studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.
