Tianyu is the first official member in the Jiang Lab, starting September 2023. Tianyu obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Maryland, with a focus of Machine Learning. He is interested in applying computer science/machine learning/statistics on intriguing biological questions. In the Jiang lab, he is exploring applying machine learning methods on the genotype to phenotype map and their applications to evolutionary models.
